Probe paddle wheel
The paddle wheel, although basic and small, is critical to the probe working as designed. I don't know how, but the first time I used the new probe, one of the clips came off the paddle wheel axle, the axle slid out of one side of probe axle hole and rendered the unit unusable. I was lucky that the axle didn't work its way completely off the probe. Either way, the unit was rendered inoperable. Obviously, easy and cheap to replace, but for the money the probe costs, I believe a more secure way of keeping the paddle wheel on the probe is worth exploring.

Unit is great. the way paddle wheel is connected is terrible. Lost mine after 3 rd time using it. Glue the keepers on!!!
